It's all garbage, and Norton is the worst. I have never had one. Few things to keep in mind don't open mail and especially attachments from users you do not know. I do feel that with the popularity of the Apple OS system me may see virus's. For that keep your software up to date and still don't play in waters that you don't know how deep it is! Jun 28, 6: I went to the symantec site and found a discussion from that addressed a similar problem. The symantec reply gave two options for removing it.
One of them worked. Jul 28, 5: I struggled with this bloody infection for more than 12 hours and finally I gave up and asked some guys from here: I am now curious about how to prevent my machine from being infected with Trojan.
Re: I have 3 Trojan.Gen.2 on my mac computer, and Norton wont delete them. HELP!
Jul 28, 6: Is there a way? Don't listen to those who pretend that you don't need any protection software for Mac, I can very easily proove you the countrary. The only reasons the Mac has not been attacked in proportions like windows is because it has not been financially interesting sofar for those who create malware.

The worst is when you believe that there is no threat and decide to ignore security aspect. I agree though, that Norton is not known for being a useful software on the Mac.

Unless you never do online banking, you never open attachement or links in your mails, you only visit websites you have known for a long time, you don't use PDF documents, you only open photos you made yourself I would still recommend to have VirrusBarrier6 or an Antivirus with longterm Mac experience. If you don't want to install any antivirus, the minimum is a tool like Little Snitch.

What is a trojan virus?
It does not affect a Mac. So I'm curious what you were struggling with.
Your Mac cannot be infected with Trojan. Little Snitch is not anti-virus software and is of little utility to someone who does not want to or is not able to learn all about the network connections being made every day by their Macs, and which ones are normal and which are not. Jul 28, 7: Agree, but if you have a malware on your system, Little Snitch is probably the best way to discover it.
